Project Architect
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent from accredited school.
5+ years experience
PROJECT BASE: Small to Medium Scale Projects
JOB LEVEL(S): Architect 2
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist client in development of programmatic information.
• Directly reports to project manager or partner-in-charge and client.
• Overall project process management.
• Complete project execution with emphasis on the development of construction documents and construction administration.
• Development/monitor project schedule.
• Participation in the development of project costs and budgets with other team members.
• Assist in the development of project fees.
• Coordination with all project team members and consultants including retaining of consultants.
• Provide ongoing consultation (i.e. code reviews) for projects.
• Development of construction documentation assuring accuracy, design intent, and quality control which maintains standards of practice and avoid all liability issues.
• Coordinate the project team and work effort including the distribution and monitoring of team work.
• Participation in field construction observation including construction meetings and the development of all data/documentation to support the construction administration phase (i.e. shop drawings, pay requests, addenda, bulletins, etc.).
• Development and coordination of project specifications and selection/review of project products.
• Participate and appropriately contribute to all project team efforts.
• Provide post construction evaluation of completed projects.
• Assist in the marketing/sales efforts with documentation, presentations, leads, etc.
• Participate in continuing education programs in an effort to improve skills/expertise.
